Superstition Springs is the south-east corner of Mesa around the US-60 and Power Road interchange, and it is the part of the city where houses and commercial property sit closest together. The mall, the golf course, the medical campus and the big retail corridor along Power Road are all wrapped around by 1990s subdivisions, so on any given week we might be running a household remodel container on one street and a retail tenant improvement box a quarter of a mile away. That mix of family subdivisions and retirement communities in the same few miles gives us a wider spread of work than most of the city.

The residential jobs are first-refresh: tile roofs and underlayment, kitchens and baths, pool resurface and pool demolition, rock yards being scraped and replaced. The retirement side adds estate cleanouts and downsizing, heaviest in March and April when winter residents leave and houses change hands. The commercial side adds tenant improvement, restaurant and retail fit-outs, ceiling grid, shelving, flooring and office clear-outs, most of which happens overnight or at weekends. All of it slab-on-grade, all of it post-tension where the slab is being touched, which is why nobody cuts or cores a slab in this market without having it scanned first.

Getting a truck to you

Power Road south from McKellips is the straightest line and takes about fifteen minutes from the yard. US-60 east to the Superstition Springs Boulevard exit is quicker if we are already on the freeway, and Ellsworth south serves the Augusta Ranch side. Baseline and Higley cover the western edge. For a commercial job we need the property manager’s approval, the delivery window, and the height of any canopy on the approach. For a residential job we want the driveway surface, the HOA day limit, and whether the load is tile, rock, concrete or household. Weight, not volume, decides the size on most of these.

On a private driveway in Superstition Springs you generally do not need a permit at all.
